Hillsboro - Harry L. Gray, 88 retired farmer and plastering contractor died Wednesday evening (March 21) in Culver Hospital at Crawfordsville. He was a member of the Hillsboro United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Come Join Us Class. Born Aug 11, 1884, in Fountain County he was a son of George L. and Inez Irvin Gray. He attended Mellott School. He was first married to Inez Riley, who died Jan 31, 1936. He was married to Effie Starnes on June 7, 1942. She died Jul 20, 1967. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Kemp of Garland, Tx a son, Emery L. Gray of Hillsboro; five grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Crumley-Williams Funeral Home with Rev. Walter Williams officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday. - kbz
